Everyday Pizza

Calories: 170 (serves 2)

Being a health freak and being a food freak, I need to balance my intake. I do this mainly by using healthier breads, low fat cheese and no oil sauces.

This is exactly how I made this pizza. The base is homemade with no oil and wholewheat flour. On top of base is tomato sauce, again home made with 1 tsp oil. I have used low fat mozzarella cheese (40gm), handful of mushrooms and capsicum. Topped this with 3-4 olives. All these ingredients are extremely healthy and beneficial for your body. Once all is done, bake in the oven at 200c for 10 min. Serve hot with oregano and red chili flakes.

Some benefits:

  • Pizza base fills and gives enough energy and hence, neutralizes hunger and limit the need for more food, helping to lose weight.
  • Olive oil is the most healthy fats source, rich of HDL (cholesterol that helps to keep arteries clean) and of vitamins A, D, E, and K.
  • Mozzarella is rich of lisin and metionin, that are animal proteins.
  • Tomato is a source of vitamins .
